Finn prefers to use materials such as oil paint, clay, and charcoal for quick sketches. Another technique they like to utilize is printmaking. Although they have experimented with anything they can get their hands on and are able to figure out almost any material. This does not apply to pastels, don’t let them see pastels.

For the most part, art is how they process their emotions and memories. One of their major inspirations is their childhood dealing with abuse. In multiple of their pieces you can see repeated images of a skulled creature, representing their birth mother. They were inspired by a recurring nightmare from their childhood that represented what they were going through at the time, and they work on processing those memories using art. By doing this they are also able to share a visual representation of how they feel to others.

Another inspiration for them are the things they love, their best friend and pet, skittles, appears in multiple artworks as well. Skittles has been with them from their birth mom’s house, to their dads, to campus and now in their apartment. A constant in their lives is each other, and Finn wants to use their art to represent what they love how they see it.
